New Year's Sheepshead

After a long break with no fishing due to wind, we finally got a chance on January 1, 2024. The big sheepshead were chewing. Henri boated this 19-incher (personal best?). Other catches included some nice chunky Mangrove Snapper. The sharks were super-aggressive, coming right out of the water next to the boat, so we had to bring our fish in fast. Henri lost half of a massive Mangrove (the head that remained was HUGE!). He got it to the boat while we distracted a shark with a grunt...but another shark came out from under the boat and just thrashed on his snapper. Overall we put plenty of meat in the cooler.
