Lots of (undersized) Cobia and beautiful Spanish Mackerel

After a very foggy start, we were having a great time looking into the crystal clear water to see the fish swimming around the bottom. In particular we were looking for stingrays, which are often accompanied by cobia. Most of the six cobia we landed today were caught by sight-casting directly to them as they swam by. Henri's was the biggest at 31 inches. Matt had a personal best of 25 inches. Todd had the most. We even had a double hook-up with both Todd and Matt fighting at the same time! Unfortunately none of them went the full 36 inches (to the fork of the tail) needed to keep. We also put half a dozen spanish mackerels in the cooler for dinner.

Rocky bottom in 8 feet of water. Like fishing in an aquarium.
